ShockOctober is the fifth in a continuing series of horror movie review books centered on grueling 48-hour movie marathons.
Where else can this be found? Nowhere!
Where, good folk, can such a gem of a collection of cast aside horror movies, best be placed? Why, in the capable hands of Farley, Scalzo and Roxburgh, of course.
I had a good time reading through this, not just their reviews and synopses but even the diary-like accounts of their pre-horror marathon rituals.
Imagining three grown men coming together for something so innocent and wonderful as a horror movie marathon, replete with favorite candies and drinks, brings fuzzy, nostalgic feelings of childhood. The joy and excitement of a sleepover combined with the thorough and articulate observations of their movies will be of interest to any reader, obscure horror movie fans or not.
Check it out!
